FAQs
Are all items hallmarked?
Any piece of jewellery from Emma’s collection that is silver or gold and weighs over 7.7 grams will be hallmarked with Emma’s Maker’s Mark and the London Assay Office. It is not a legal requirement that pieces weighing less than this forged in gold or silver be hallmarked.
What material is used in these pieces?
Emma hand makes pieces in fine silver (999), sterling silver (925), and brass often incorporating hand-picked precious and semi-precious gemstones in colours which embody the coastal landscapes of Embleton.
What do I do if I’m not happy with my piece?
How will my piece be packaged?
How do I look after my jewellery?
Emma hopes that you are happy with your piece but in the event that you would like to return or exchange your item you must contact emmagibsonjewellery@gmail.com within 14 days of receipt of your piece. Please note that for hygiene reasons, we cannot accept exchanges or returns for any earrings. The cost of returning any pieces is the responsibility of the buyer, please note, delivery costs are nonrefundable.
Where possible Emma uses responsibly-sourced gift boxes with delicate tissue paper perfect for immediate gifting. Multiple pieces in the same order will be packaged together unless otherwise requested. If you are ordering gifts for more than one recipient please let Emma know and she can individually wrap them.
To keep your jewellery looking its best Emma recommends keeping it away from harsh chemicals such as chlorine in swimming pools or harsh cleaning products. Emma’s silver pieces need minimal looking after, with just an occasional clean with mild soap and warm water. If you would like to restore the shine to your piece you can gently polish it with a silver polishing cloth. If your piece has a matt finish, polishing it will remove the matt finish.
