“To celebrate 15 years of making jewellery, I set myself the challenge of taking part in my first Wandsworth Artists’ Open House.  Summer was meant to be spent finishing all the jewellery jobs I’ve been putting off but instead I’ve played with new ideas, techniques and inspiration and come up with some exciting new pieces ready to show and sell at open house.”

My big bold silver cuffs have got even bigger and bolder and so have my favourite hammered spiral earrings.  I love making and wearing brooches and can’t wait to show my collection of silver “safety pins” and starburst brooches, along with the collection of crushed silver rings and bangles that I’ve been developing for a while now.  I’ve also been hammering away making handmade silver nails to wear as pins or cufflinks.

I’m really excited about my completely new Berber jewellery project, which came about  after I found bits of a beautiful silver and coloured glass headdress on the street outside a little shop in Morocco.  What started as a repair to a vintage piece has turned into a whole collection: by resurrecting my stained glass skills and exploring engraving on silver, I have created a collection of beautiful earrings, necklaces and pins.
